A Haussmann apartment already has its own period features: cornices, ceiling roses, generous ceiling height. Modernising it means letting them speak and setting frankly contemporary furniture against them.

Contrast does everything. Against a backdrop of white mouldings and old parquet, a sofa with curving lines, a sculptural pendant light or a lacquered kitchen take on a presence they would not have in a neutral interior.

Every piece is drawn to your measurements, made directly by the workshop, then delivered: that is our Design & supply service. To prepare your measurements, follow our layout plan method.
Respecting the original features
We do not touch the mouldings, the fireplaces or the structure: the project is played out through furniture, light fittings, textiles and colour.
Working with walls that are not straight
Each piece of furniture is drawn from your real measurements, taken at several points. The approval for production you sign fixes those measurements.
Lighting a high ceiling
A strong central pendant light, then points of light at human height: wall lights, floor lamps, lit niches.

Can you modernise without building work?
Yes: all our work concerns furniture, light fittings, textiles and colour. We do no building work and make no changes to the structure.
